Reducing the payment process from 15 weeks to 3 weeks

Would it be of value to improve the Clinical Trial process by paying sites and investigators in a more timely manner? Clinical Force believes that the integration of CTMS and EDC solutions could reduce the typical payment process from 15 weeks to 3 weeks.

Clinical research organizations are under pressure to quickly and accurately pay investigators in order to maintain investigator motivation and goodwill, in the bigger interest of completing clinical trials quickly and effectively. Drivers are staff costs and throughput times.

Sponsors want the clinical trial process to run as smoothly, effectively and quickly as possible. Efficient clinical research organizations mean lower costs. Motivated investigators mean improved results and consistent performance.

The traditional payment process involves multiple sources of data coming together to produce a payment request that provides a listing of payments that are owed to the Investigator site. With an integrated CTMS payment process the data is input once but used many times. CTMS receives the enrolment data from the EDC system, triggering other processes and a payment event for a payee.

If you use paper CRF’s on your studies it is also possible to significantly improve your Investigator payment process by using a CTMS.
