Case Study : CRO
The Challenge - A CRO running a number of multi-country studies for a number of sponsors, tracking clinical trial information using spreadsheets.
The Clinical Force Approach - the CTMS was deployed in phases, the initial phase was limited to the core CTMS module plus predicted recruitment and ethics modules. This was deployed in three months including user training, enabling the CRO team to load all contact and study details into the CTMS and have Clinical Force adjust a number of key tracking reports.
The Outcome - Once the initial positive results were noted - the studies were under control and the CRO team was well able to cope with the studies, two later phases deployed visit reports and investigator payments. These modules have enabled the CRO to step up performance both in terms of costs and in terms of staff utilization. More is being done with the same team.

Case Study : Biotech
The Challenge - A biotech raised venture capital to run two proof of concept studies. The management wanted control over the trial, despite having contracted a CRO to perform site selection and site monitoring.
The Clinical Force Approach - the CTMS was deployed in a week including training of the core team. The core CTMS module with predicted recruitment and ethics modules provided more than enough functionality to allow the biotech operations team to stay on top of site progress and critical document tracking.
The Outcome - the CTMS provided the biotech with dashboards and reports that allowed the operations team to pro-actively manage the CRO and keep management updated on progress. This freed up the team to focus on the actual study results.

Case Study : Bio-Pharmaceutical
The Challenge - A bio-pharmaceutical runs programs in five therapeutic areas and faces high costs of outsourced clinical trials and a lack of visibility of progress in key studies. The executive team decided to find a way of gaining visibility across all studies while at the same time reducing study costs. Managing multiple outsource partners: CROs and EDC vendors was proving a challenge.
The Clinical Force Approach - the CTMS was rapidly deployed in a proof of concept that allowed a client multi-disciplinary team to capture the main functionality required and changes to key reports. These changes were developed across 4 months and the client was live with dashboards and reports providing a full overview of all studies in all therapeutic areas. In phases, key EDC systems have been connected to the CTMS, progressively improving the process efficiency and also getting the client ever closer to the executive vision of a real-time dashboard across all studies.
The Outcome The executive dashboards and integration to MS Project plans have for the first time provided near real time overview that the executive team envisioned. Two EDC connections are live, with three more EDC connectors and a CTMS connector planned.
