CTMS Overview
The clinical trial management system (CTMS) application provides the ability to track many aspects of a clinical trial providing near real time visibility on the progress of a study. The application allows tracking multiple studies in the same database making it a central hub for access to all active and historical trials. This design enables cross study reporting and accumulation of historical statistics on site and investigator performance that can be utilized to make informed decisions in future studies.
The CTMS application is deployed as a web application on fast, highly available hardware and designed for security, data integrity and performance. Access to the application is via any W3C compliant web browser and therefore does not require any software to be installed. The many security features including hardware firewalls and a flexible security configuration for data visibility means your clinical trial information is safe and always available to your team, anywhere and any time providing a distributed team with access to all key information. Automatic (opt-in) upgrades ensure that the CTMS is always up to date with the latest features and enhancements.
Additionally, an offline client application can be used that rapidly and easily synchronizes with the online database, providing additional flexibility to traveling staff members.
A highly flexible data integration engine supporting various standard interfaces ensures that the CTMS data can be connected to other data sources such as EDC or IVRS systems, office applications and data marts or even other CTMS systems.
